Debra Bowman - It's both really. As you strengthen them and get them more flexible - the cramping will decrease - maybe even totally. Yes - if you can do the lower body stretches daily that will help tremendously.

That will help the hamstrings too.Â

Great question. So I would first ask - is your weight and clothing size in a zone where you're happy? Since you've been doing the fasting - what kinds of changes have you seen and felt so far?
