Joey A. I don't have any with clips at the end. I have some with handles, and some are just plain bands with nothing on the end. It seems I need to upgrade... 👀

Hi Joey! Thanks for the encouragement!

I don't have band anchors. I've always used a door knob to anchor them or just my body. I've never done a band exercise this intense before... i.e. one handed and where you turn your whole body. I just gotta figure out how to set it up... in my relatively small space.

Week 2:

I was happy about last week. I got started. 💪

I did 4 or 5 beginner videos, some micro workouts, and overall feel good.

This week:

✔️ I started yesterday with a standing leg workout. Loved it! The longer sessions are easier on the weekends.

✔️ Today I did a cardio session.

Regarding equipment:

✔️ I have bands. Several types in fact. But I usually put them on a door knob, or just free form them. I find the full body turns hard to do on a door knob. I'm thinking I'll mount something to a stud in the wall to anchor it. What have others done?

✔️ I have a basic step for aerobics, but it's big. I like The compact one you used in the video. I'd like something smaller. Again, just curious what others use.

Overall I feel pretty good. And optimistic about the week.

Here's to a great week everyone! 💜

Hi Joey A. My Thursday check-in:

Did the 4 move ab video this morning. Loved it. It's definitely something I can do weekly.

I've been doing the micro workouts too. I find my mornings are strong, and it wains as the day goes on. I'll set myself some reminders.

And I'll order the scale thus week. Feeling strong! Thanks for the accountability!

Hi Joey!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

I did okay yesterday. I did "micro workouts" throughout the morning... until I got engrossed in a project. Then nada. I need to set reminders.

This morning I did a bodyweight cardio video and loved it! Although my joeys weren't pretty lol.... but my second set was better than my first. So all in all a pretty good start I'd say.

I don't have a body composition scale. If you have recommendations I'll just get that one.

Hello Everyone!

This is my official introduction post. I'm 56, I've worked in an office for the past 30 years and have largely been disconnected from my body... my whole life.

I've had "pockets" of exercising, usually when I'm on some diet or other. Or more recently "cleanses." But I've never gone full in on anything. I've never truly been in good shape. And I've always been a little (or a lot) overweight.

This last year I've changed my focus. Well a couple years really. I've been focusing on making small, incremental changes that I can do forever. I've focused on listening to my body instead of dieting, making movement part of my life, listening to my intuition and giving my body what it truly wants.

I've dropped about 20 pounds just through making small shifts.

I was looking for an exercise program that I can get 100% on board with... when I came across your YouTube channel. I do fascia stretching and lymph work most days. I want to add exercising into that sentence. I want something simple that I can do from home with bands, a mat, and some hand weights. And something I can understand... so I don't always have to watch a video. Those are my goals. I want to make this a part of my life... where it's just simply who I am and what I do.

Bonus: I really get into it and buy a sculptafit! But that will require a new house! So one thing at a time! Baby steps! 😆

Last month: I think I did two videos. 🙄

This month: I reached out... which is why I joined dangit! 😃

Day 1: (yesterday) after a lot of mental gymnastics... I'm talking 50+ years of procrastinating level gymnastics here... I need to learn to channel that energy better... but I digress... #goals

✔️ 10 minutes before bed I (finally) did the neck video

✔️ plus added it to my calendar

✔️ I'm taking that as a win. 💪

Day 2: (today)

✔️ I watched the "micro workouts" coaching call

✔️ I'm incorporating these into my work day

✔️ I'm doing the beginner videos this week. My goal is at least three of them... maybe I'll do all six.

It's time to get this body warmed up moving again. I'll also do weight, measurements, etc this week.

That's me. That's my goals. I'm happy to be here. And am looking forward to getting to know you all better. Much love 💜

Joey A. Good morning! 😊

1 - my morning routine is resistance stretching, lymph work, meditation

2 - you are right. I have chosen "not exercising" for most of my life. I am ready to change that.

3 - I've never gone 100% in on exercising. I've never been in "great shape" as I said before. I would like for once in my life to simply be fit. And by that I mean be strong, have muscle tone, and feel good in my body.

Hi Joey!

1 - I haven't tried the calendar yet.

2 - I saw and tried a few of your videos online. I've always loved slow lifting. And what I've seen and done so far I've really enjoyed.

I'm 56 and my biggest goal is to consistently exercise and to be in great shape.

3 - I tend to be all or none. I started resistance stretching a few years ago - with an accountability group - and have done it most days since then. My goal is to do the same with exercise. I need to create the habit. Maybe piggyback it onto my morning routine? Hmm or something... I'm not sure how to get back into the habit.

Hi! I'm wondering if you have any accountability groups? I joined about a month ago, have only exercised twice. 😳 I would love somewhere to check-in. I'm a beginner and haven't seriously exercised in a while.

Thx:)
