Hey Joey! I just read one of your group emails and looks like you made my husband & I famous...ha! Thanks for sharing our story. And BTW, I'm in MO now with my mama for a few days and still holding good with no more sciatica! Thank you so much!

This will be epic! Thank you for providing a focus on those of us in 'midlife' :) I'm sure most of your 'midlife' followers are people who have exercised for a while so their 'midlife' body responds better than most! And while I can still keep up with those much younger than me (and definitely out-hike those younger gens) I am noticing it is getting more difficult to build muscle. Perhaps this is due to my diet which likely is low on protein, ??? but if you can address this, I would love it! Thanks Joey!

Yes I thought you would be pumped that your program turned this dreadful condition around in only a few days! I mean I had struggled with the sciatica for almost 2 months, saw 2 different massage therapists multiple times, did chiropractic, acupuncture etc and couldn't get lasting relief. But, truly like magic, doing those stretches for a few days was exactly what I needed! Yay! My bad for not reaching out to you sooner!

And just to give you and your followers some real encouragement, I'm 66 and my hubby is 68! We have been active all of our lives and still hike 5-8 miles in some crazy good mountains in the Phoenix area about twice a week. Thank you for getting me back on my feet again! My hubby needs a few more days in those stretches and then he should be good to climb a mountain again! Many many thanks for being the real deal!

Hi Joey! Just a quick update. YOU ARE AWESOME AND YOUR PROGRAMS ROCK! I say all of that to say after a few days of doing the super flex total body stretches I am 99% better! Yay! I actually went hiking (8 miles with steady elevation ) 2 days ago and only ended up with a 'shadow' of the sciatica afterwards. After another couple of days of doing the super flex stretches I had NO - ZERO - NADA sciatica post 5 mile walk today! I'm beyond thrilled and can't thank you enough for your instruction and coaching to get me back on track. And BONUS -- my husband did the super flex stretches with me yesterday! They kicked his booty but he vows to try it again as his tight hip flexors felt much better after the stretching! Thank you again Joey! Appreciate you and look forward to all of the good news you will be sharing soon!

Thanks for providing the stretch session. It challenged me in a few places but in a good way and was very positive. I will continue to do these 2x/day and let you know. It feels like this will really make a difference! Thanks for thinking about my mom as well, but she is 86 and in a wheelchair so about the most she could do would be a few upper body stretches. Definitely sad to see how little she can do and most everything causes her pain. Thanks again Joey.

Hi Joey! I haven't tried the 8 day sample program yet so I will do that. I've been walking 3-5 miles every day as I just LOVE being outside. Some days I'm uncomfortable doing that if the sciatica is acting up and some days it seems helpful to walk. I know walking is considered more of 'movement' vs exercise and my body has adapted to it like that as well meaning I need to kick the sciatica to the curb and get back to some real exercise .

The sciatica has been hanging around for about 2 months now :( It's hard to pinpoint what triggered it -- could have been some rugged hiking I was doing daily for about 4 weeks, could have been my hiking shoes were starting to wear out and I delayed getting new ones, could have been excessive sitting in airplanes, airports, meetings etc. It might be sympathy pains for my mom who is dealing with sciatica right now.... dang it! I'm just not real sure but it wasn't from an accident or anything like that. I have done deep tissue massage which helps for a couple of days until it returns, I have done chiropractic + acupuncture + cupping + radial frequency treatments. All good for about 2-3 days. I guess the good news is the pain keeps moving and isn't 'stuck' in one place. Some days it feels like the pain is in the hip bursa, then it will migrate to the inner thigh and groin, then it will be full on in the middle of the butt with stabbing sharp pain that will cause zingers down the side of my leg to my ankle. Then all of that will resolve for a day until it starts over again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated my fitness friend! Thank you

Hi Joey! Thank you so much for a quick and 'personal' response! Your dedication to all of your followers is undeniable in so many ways and especially that you still find a way to provide a personal response to questions. Thank you for that! Thank you for sharing the link about what you have been up to. I had no idea of your life events. Admittedly I don't read all of the email updates - my bad. Now that I know about your health and parent struggles, I will pray for you and your family. I also didn't know the studio wasn't up and running. I must have missed a lot of your emails :( So sorry. So it sounds like a lot of good stuff is in the works and on the way so I just need to get back on the bandwagon, keep moving forward and watch for some new stuff coming in the future. I've been moving between the Beginner and Intermediate schedules. I've been battling some sciatica - no fun! Many thanks for the personal reply!
