Joey AtlasGood ideas. I live in a small studio with no couch or heavy furniture (minimalist) but the dumbell idea is good!

Joey AtlasYes, I saw that but I literally do not have anything strong enough to grab onto that way in the room I do my excercise in. I will get creative or maybe get a mat that is similar to yours. Thanks.

Joey Atlas that cool mat thing with the bump hold on the end

Joey Atlas I train at home. I have similar resistance bands to yours on a varied door anchor, as well as a variety of other bands. I have a yoga ball, dumbbells up to 15 pounds, a couple of kettlebells. A medicine ball. And of course, a variety of furniture for step ups, push ups... And a foam roller.

Joey Atlas Also, it would be helpful if with the filters we could filter for dumbells only or bands and dumbells only etc.. only because when getting 1/2 way through a workout session and need to figure out what to do if I don't have the right equipment-either fast forward or figure out an alternative. I hate working out and having to add in this can deter me from doing it some days. But it is what it is and I am creative and will navigate this but wanted to check if you have suggestions on this. Thanks ; )

Joey Atlas I find it effective as far as it feels like I am hitting the muscles and could probably work with it for a bit but sometimes feel I need a bit more or something. I am not sure it is enough but that could be old thinking. There are certain things I have to avoid though until I am stronger such as laying on my bursitis shoulder side ( like with the leg stuff) or floor plank stuff. It activates the pain so I either use a pillow(which kind of works) or get creative.I do have resistance bands and a door anchor with various anchor spots(low middle and high.) and I use countertops, chair, ball etc. Or just avoid that particular exercise altogether if I can't set up the way you do in some and get creative again for alternatives(which can be time consuming too). I'm just really trying to find more structure as to what I'm doing for the week, and not have to figure this out every night or morning. With more guidance  I'm willing to spend the time creating my own structure with these videos.

Thanks, Joey. I really enjoy your excercise style and I appreciate the structure of the five-day sample schedule you provided. I wanted to get some clarity on how to progress from here.

Specifically, I’m wondering if the idea is to repeat this five-day sample for several weeks until I see progress, or if I should switch things up more frequently. I want to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible so I can stay consistent and not get overwhelmed.

Also, if there are certain exercises that I might not be able to do such as overhead stuff because of shoulder bursitis (which I have some PT stuff for) or because I don't have the proper equipment but want to target the muscle being worked in some of these videos. I’d love your suggestions for alternatives or variations so I can still target the same muscle groups. I’m in relatively good shape for my age, and I’ve been consistently exercising daily with a healthy diet and weight. My goal is to build and maintain strength as I age.

Hello Joey,    I need some help navigating your programs. I purchased the Total Family Access ( I think ) and I don't fully understand how to follow along with your workouts day by day. I went through the 5 day course but I am not clear as to what to do after that or is this particular course what I get to repeat over and over? Is it $19/month for just that course plus all the other random things, or will there be more constructed week courses every month? I'm confused. I have navigated around to different workouts and favorited them, but everything is so random. I'm not very clear on where to go and what to pick. I have been able to just choose the ones that are available for me, but sometimes I don't have the proper equipment yet at the time to do some of those, so I look for another one, and I end up spending a bit more time than I wanted to trying to figure out what I'm doing for exercise that morning. I really like your workouts and would love some sort of structure to follow, to get me going with this.
Please advise as to what need to do, what I paid for and if you have some direction for me here. Thank you so much, I appreciate you. Katie
