Joey Atlas the doctor didn’t have much advice- he wasn’t awesome

Joey Atlas occipital stretching and chin tucks. I also bought a NecksLevel device which I absolutely love- mostly working with that at the end range of head rotation with lots of isometric holds

Joey Atlas yes, I’ve been in PT weekly since 2022 (sad face) for all my leg and feet surgeries and now my PT (who is amazing) is working on my neck. Basic instructions are to stretch the occipitals and do chin tucks- but, to me, that seems like it would worsen the lordosis. It’s all quite confusing

I got the MRI to try and explain other symptoms I have - which we thought could be being caused by impingement on the cervical spinal cord. This didn’t show that- so these could be incindental findings. But man- my neck is a mess. I was really sick and bedbound a few years. I’m doing a lot of neck strengthening exercises but they don’t seem to be helping and i suspect my sleeping position and poor sleep (it’s a medicated sleep bc I have a sleep disorder) is maybe to blame- eg I’m sleeping too deeply to support my neck, or the opposite and muscles are engaged while I’m sleeping. I’ve seen so many doctors. The one who ordered this mri wasn’t concerned and just sent me to PT.
