Hey Joey, I'm at a loss as to what to do with this particular workout since I don't have a Sculptafit unit or suspension bands at home. Here is the title of this workout in the 'Sample' Beginner's section: LIIT Chest and Back Personal Training Session Intermediate #1

LIIT Chest and Back Personal Training Session Intermediate #1

How can I get a similar workout without the equipment? I only have dumbbells and they're light. I know I have to get the bands and heavier dumbbells.

Joey A. Yes, I am familiar with UB. I lived the first fifty years of my life in Southwestern CT. I moved to upstate NY when I went to college at fifty years old. I stayed up here because the cost of living is much lower than down-state CT. Anyway, I'm going through the beginner playlist, and today I did the abs and neck workout. The abs one is a real killer! That tells me that I need to get in better shape and I'm working on that. The only workout that has caused me residual pain was the ultimate hip and thigh under the beginner's playlist. It was OK during the routine, but the next day I had pain in my buttocks, which resolved itself nicely. That's probably because I have bursitis in my right hip, where I also had a hip replacement. So, I'm hoping this isn't going to be a problem in the future. Thanks, and what's in your 'elixir?'

I found I had some pain this morning in my buttocks area after the first session. It's been OK today. I have bursitis in my right hip and sometimes it causes me pain. We'll see if this continues for me. As for the bands, thanks for the recommended bands. I'll still have to wait until early next month to get them. I have something I can make do with until I get them. I'm living on a fixed income, and I have to really be careful about my spending.

I did the first workout in the beginners section. It was doable for me. It was just enough and not too easy. As for getting those bands, I just can't afford to do that right now, I'll have to work with body weight for now. At some point in the near future I should be able to get them, just not right now.

Joey A. My most important short-term goal is to firm up my jelly belly, my jiggly arms, and flabby thighs. I'm a seventy-one-year-old woman who still believes it's never too late to live my best life. I recently lost 18 pounds and am at my goal weight of 121 pounds. I'm five feet two and three-quarters tall. So, I'm a little but mighty thing! LOL. I've been walking a lot and am shooting for 10K steps a day, which I usually achieve at least five out of seven days. I'm relatively healthy for my age but have high blood pressure, osteoporosis and thyroid disease, all of which I take medication for. I also have fibromyalgia that I mostly choose to ignore. I'm still loving my life and especially this Summer (my favorite season) in Western New York State. I've been looking at a lot of your YT videos too. I like the 'granny series.' I'm not a granny but I don't want the body either! I like your gentle and slow approach and look forward to working with you. Oh, and I'm a paisano too!

Hi Joey, you were asking me what my goals are. I want to firm up my core, legs, buttocks and arms. I'm a seventyone year old woman in good shape. I recently reached my goal weight of 122 lbs., from 139. I generally walk 10K steps per day and am doing light weights. I need to get resistance bands and another set of dumbbells besides the wimpy two-pound ones I have. I have the usual stuff that people my age have, like high blood pressure, osteoporosis, and thyroid disease. Other than that, I'm pretty active and intend to stay that way for as long as possible. I eat a mostly clean diet and hydrate frequently. My mother lived to ninety-five, and I'm going to try and at least match that age in style.

OK, Joey. I think I'm all set. I entered my new email and password, and everything looks like it's there. I'm just starting out, even though I've done a few of the workouts. Where would you suggest I start?

Joey Atlas no. I haven't tried that but it's on my list now.

I wasn't caused by an accident. I have pyriformis syndrome and it comes and goes. I haven't gone for PT but I do have excercises that I need to do for it.

So there is no beef or chicken in your diet plan?
